Founded in 1996, the Kids-N-Hope Foundation has donated $860,000 to CHOP to support its Music Therapy Program through such high-profile events like the Gelatin Olympics and our annual Golf Tournament.

While the Kids-N-Hope Foundation’s support of the Children’s Seashore House of the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia is the most visible of the credit union’s charitable efforts, American Heritage recognizes that being a good corporate citizen means being involved in a number of community initiatives. As a result, the credit union has been consistently recognized by its peers as a national leader among credit unions for their charitable involvement with the community.

American heritage also makes regular donations on request to local, national and international causes and has permanent fundraising programs in place for its own Adopt-A-Family and Books for Kids Programs. The Board of Directors also supports World Council initiatives and disaster victims through CUNA Foundation on an “as-needed” basis throughout the year. Because our members have said that it is important for their financial institution to support charitable causes, we make sure we promote our community involvement through newsletters, emails and press releases.

We have shown our support of community financial literacy education through our provision of financial literacy materials, through the support of seminars open to the public and through our support of the Campaign for Working Families free tax assistance program.
