Our Heritage

Founded in 1948, our original field of membership was the employees of the Budd Manufacturing Company. In 1985, we changed our name to American Heritage Federal Credit Union to reflect the change in the nature of our membership and the companies with which we are affiliated. Today, American Heritage Federal Credit Union is a $1.25 billion member-owned financial cooperative serving over 700 sponsor companies. It is the 145th largest Credit Union in the Country based on asset size and the 114th Largest Credit Union in the US based on number of members with over 121,000 members and 27 branches in the Philadelphia, Bucks and Montgomery Counties.
