No, we do not charge Surcharge Fees for using our machines if you are a member.
What ATM Machines can I use to avoid paying Surcharge Fees?
CO-OP Network, operated by CO-OP Financial Services, offers the nations largest credit union only surcharge-free ATM network for people who belong to one of more than 3,000 participating member credit unions across the country. I made a cash deposit through the ATM machine. Why did you place my funds on hold?
All deposits through non-American Heritage ATM machines are placed on a three-day hold. The system cannot confirm your deposit was in cash. Therefore, as a security feature, all deposited funds are placed on hold. An extended hold maybe applied depending on the type of check deposited.
What is Bill Payer, and how can I sign up for this service?
Bill Payer is a free service offered to our members to pay bills through the Internet. Please note that when you sign up for Bill Payer, you need to pay at least one bill per month using the service; otherwise a $5.00 monthly service charge will be applied to your account after 31 days.
Is your Online Teller a secure website?
Yes, our Online Teller is a secure site. We also offer Phone Teller, which is also secure. Both systems have access 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. With those services, you are able to check your balances, request withdrawals, transfer between accounts and much more.
What are Score Card Reward Points?
Score Card Reward Points are points that are earned using your Independence Check Card or your MasterCard with a signature base transaction. You can use it for grocery purchases, appliance purchases and other items that require a signature to complete the transaction. Your points can be used for Travel, Merchandise and other services.
Where do I go to take advantage of my earned Score Cards Reward Points?
You can check your points, get a complete list of awards and redeem Bonus Points online at www.scorecardrewards.com. You can also get service information by calling 1-800-854-0790 (Score Card Customer Service) or 1-800-842-3006 (Travel Services).
When I perform a transaction on the Online Teller, how long does it take to register on my account?
Transactions on the website are performed immediately. You may need to refresh your screen to see the update.
What type of cards do you offer at American Heritage that can be used to access my account?
Here at American Heritage, we offer two types of cards that can be used to access your account information; an ATM Card and an Independence Check Card. Both cards can be used to access your savings and checking shares. However, the Independence Check Card has a bonus feature because it has a MasterCard emblem that can be used to do signature base transactions. Those transactions will be submitted by the merchant as a credit transaction, but will still come from your checking share after a small hold is placed on your funds (similar to all credit card transactions).
How can I obtain my pin number for my ATM or Check Card if its misplaced or forgotten?
Unfortunately, we do not keep a record of your pin number (access code). Once your card is created, that number is encoded on the back stripe of your card and destroyed. However, we have selective branches that can re-pin certain cards for you. Please refer to re-pinning and Instant Card Issue locations. If your card cannot be repined, you will need to request a replacement card at a branch, or by calling the Call Center at 1-800-342-0008.
Where can I change my PIN or receive a new Independence Check Card or Platinum MasterCard?
We have select branches that are able to change your PIN for the Independence Check Card and Platinum Card at no charge. Those branches are:
Carriage House, East Norriton, Fox Chase, Horsham, Hunting Park, Parkside, and Perkasie locations. Our Instant issue Independence Check Card or Platinum MasterCard locations are: Carriage House, Bridge Street, Lansdale, Bristol and Stock Exchange.
If I lose my ATM Card, Independence Check Card or MasterCard, what is the process for getting it replaced?
Whenever a card is lost or stolen, you can call the Call Center at 215-969-0777 between the hours of 8am-6pm Monday thru Thursday, 8am-7pm Friday and 9am-3pm Saturday. You can also call toll free at 1-800-342-0008 and you will be connected to our card service area after business hours.
Do you have a Debt Management Program?
We offer a program called Balance. This program offers counselors that can assist you with your finances that at times can seem to be over whelming. The counselors can provide information on Money Management, Goal Setting, Budgeting, Bankruptcy Prevention, Avoiding Foreclosure and many other financial topics. What is the difference between the Available Balance and the Balance on my account?
The balance is what you actually have in the account and the available is what you have access to use on your account. Often if a check is placed on hold or a transaction is done using a debit card, the full amount will not be available in the account. It will show as the balance but not be available. We recommend checking your account balance and available balance prior to completing transactions.
What types of account (shares) are offered at your credit union?
We offer Primary Savings, 3 Types of Checking Shares, Holiday Shares, Vacation Shares, 2 Types of Money Market Shares and a Little Patriot Share (children under 2yr of age).

If I am disputing an ACH transaction that was charged to my account which had been revoked or unauthorized, what is the process?
You must complete and sign the Affidavit of Unauthorized/Revoked ACH Debit Activity Form. This form is only to be used if you are disputing an ACH transaction that you had previously authorized and you had notified the company or merchant that you revoke that authorization, or you are disputing an ACH transaction that you had never authorized.
I have to stop a check from getting processed. What is the procedure and what is the cost?
A stop payment request can be made by calling our Call Center at 215-969-0777. Our Stop Payment Request Form will be mailed and must be returned by mail or to a branch within 14 days or the request will be removed from your account. Once the form is received by American Heritage the system will continue to stop payment on the check for six months. After six months the request must be renewed.
A stop payment request may also be made online through your home banking account under Checking Info. A check number and amount will be needed to complete the stop payment request. An online stop payment request is valid for six months and then it must be renewed or it will be removed from your account.
Your account will be charged $5.00 for the stop payment request and $20.00 every time the item is presented and returned. You may request a copy of this form at any of our branches, by calling our Call Center at 215-969-0777 or printing a copy of the form which is available online.
This form must be completed, signed and forwarded to AMHFCU, Attn: Electronic Funds Department, 2060 Red Lion Road, Philadelphia, PA 19115 or faxed directly to 215-464-0311.

Platinum MasterCard with a rate of 9.90%, Gold MasterCard with a rate of 11.90%, Classic with rate of 12.90% and a Secured MasterCard with a rate of 15.90% and an annual fee of $35.00.
